Intergenerational Night
· Calgary Public Library
One table. Kids and grandparents. A puzzle. Free, library-hosted, intentionally cross-generational — recovering analog social time across age groups.
Who
Families bringing all generations.
What
Shared 500-piece tables with rotating partners.
Why come
Connection, conversation, no screens.
Tables are deliberately mixed-age. Every 30 minutes a "rotation bell" rings — adults move one table to their right, kids stay, conversation reshuffles. By the end of the night you've sat at three tables and finished one puzzle together with three different elder generations.
